In our Baptism, we were “sealed by the Holy Spirit” and “marked as Christ’s own forever” by God’s grace, and we share in the Divine Life, given to us in Baptism. How does this Life express itself in and through us? If we are “marked as Christ’s own,” what are the “marks of love” that characterize the Divine Life abiding and at work within us?
You are invited to participate in a Lenten program called “5 Marks of Love”, a six-week program inspired by the Anglican “Marks of Mission.” This series of videos and classes are designed to help us recognize and respond to the activity of God in our own lives, our faith communities, and in the world.
The Brothers of SSJE have created a free video series in which they share their insights and personal experiences of living and looking for signs of God’s presence and activity in their lives, in their communities, and in the world around us all. These videos are available at www.5marksoflove.org and should be seen as complementary to the work we will do together.
There will be sessions after each of the Sunday morning services. In addition, you may choose to access the daily video, provocative question, and invitation to reflect and respond on the SSJE website. Even if you cannot attend every session, please do not hesitate to come when you can.
