I am very pleased to announce that the Rev. Carola von Wrangel has accepted my invitation to join the staff of St. Dunstan’s Church as a non-stipendiary priest associate. Mother Carola began attending St. Dunstan’s Church early this year, attending our Wednesday worship services. She is rarely available on Sunday because she preaches and raises funds for the excellent relief organization, Food For The Poor, traveling all around the country. Most Tuesdays you will find Mother Carola helping gather and prepare food for our Community Dinner and meals program.
I have greatly enjoyed getting to know Mother Carola. On many Wednesdays I try out sermon ideas for Sunday and then discuss them with her after the service. This is just the start of our collaboration and I am delighted to have a more formal relationship. Along with Mother Catharine Reid, Mother Carola will participate in leading worship and in preaching as we discern how she can best use her gifts at St. Dunstan’s Church.
