We have had a beautiful summer so far, with just the right amounts of sun and rain. Work on the Capital Campaign projects continue, with construction of our new organ by the Ortloff Organ Company continuing, bids coming in for paving the parking lots and for the remodeling work in the church, and preparation for constructing the dry storage shed for the feeding ministry. Many thanks to our Project Planning Committee for keeping things moving along.
Even though the summer months are a bit slower, the every day expenses for the church remain the same. Every year we experience a decrease in revenue during the summer months – this year we are down about 10%. Giving statements were mailed to you this week. If you find you are a bit behind in your pledge for the year, please consider getting back up to date so that we can continue to fulfill our mission of welcoming the stranger, feeding hungry bodies and spirits, giving of ourselves, and inviting others to join us in this journey of faith.
Yours in Christ,
Tom Paulson, Sr. Warden
