Dear Friends in Christ,
The Spring Work Party Returns
Work party? Is that possible? Yes! On Saturday, April 9th, at 10:00 AM we will have a spring cleaning, getting ready for Easter, work party at St. Dunstan’s Church. Things are already looking great with our paved, painted, and re-surfaced parking lots. We will plant some spring flowers around the entrance, trim the bushes back from our labyrinth, and other springtime tasks. We will provide coffee and donuts. Bring your own gloves and gardening tools (we have a few).
Please let us know you are coming. Text “Spring Cleanup” to Chris at (562)884-3761 or call.
Coffee Hour is Returning Too
The Hospitality Team is bringing back coffee hour after the Palm Sunday Service! We’ll gather and enjoy coffee, tea, cookies, and each other after the service. This is a sacred responsibility. After all, the first converts to Christianity devoted themselves to the Apostles’ teaching and fellowship…(Acts 2:42) That means cookies!
After the Easter Sunday service, we want to have a more festive time. You can help with set up, clean up, serving or bringing treats. Email Madeline Sego with your offerings, thesegos@frontier.com.
Easter Egg Hunt
Bring the children. Bring the grandchildren. Joint us for a Easter Egg Hunt around the grounds and through the trees. This will directly after the Sunday morning service. For those not participating in the hunt itself, there will be a festive coffee hour. We are looking for volunteers to help stuff those eggs on Saturday, April 16 about 10:30. While Jonathan Thoms has lots of goodies to add to the eggs, he says we can always use more. So bring your goodies and come and join us on Saturday.
With love,
David+
Louanne Shelton Memorial
The Memorial service for Louanne Shelton will be held at St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church on Saturday, April 30th, at 1:00 PM with a catered reception to follow. Her family invites you to attend and help celebrate a wonderful life.
