We already know the Rev. Pat Grodt because she has been with us as a deacon in training for the past two years. On October 28th, at our Diocesan Convention, Bishop Rickel ordained Pat to the permanent deaconate. At this same service he announced that Deacon Pat has been assigned to serve at St. Dunstan’s Church, and he went on to say as he looked at me in the front row, “and their rector, David Marshall, has a huge smile on his face.”
We are very fortunate to have Deacon Pat assigned to our congregation. She brings a deep love and knowledge of worship, a commitment to social justice work, and a generous heart. We will work together to train our ministry leaders and to build our ministries in the world. I am delighted to welcome Pat to her ordained role at St. Dunstan’s Church. Please come on Sunday as we welcome her and say a prayer of commitment to support her ministry among us and in the world.
