On Saturday night we enjoyed a wonderful Gala Banquet to celebrate our Imagine the Ways capital campaign. The parish hall was decorated beautifully, the food was great, the music was excellent, and the results were fantastic. We now have 41 gifts and pledges totaling $725,000. Of that, $390,000 has been given in donations and $335,000 in pledges.
The donations and pledges we have already received mean that we will be able to implement five of our six projects. The organ and associated changes to the building are fully funded. We will also be able to build a walk-in cooler for the kitchen, pave the parking lots and pathways, implement a flexible worship space, and build dry storage for the kitchen. This is a wonderful result and will transform the life and ministries of our congregation.
What’s Next?
Our goal is full participation in the campaign. We want everyone who feels that they are a part of St. Dunstan’s Church to have the opportunity to participate. Over the next several weeks we will continue to invite those who have not donated or pledged to share in this successful program.
The Imagine the Ways campaign is our opportunity to build our capacity to feed God’s people. These projects will magnify the blessings that our worship and ministries can offer in the world. The kitchen projects will not only expand the capacity of our feeding program, they will allow us to clear out the back room of the kitchen, making that space work for everyone who uses the kitchen. The paving projects will make our facilities more accessible and functional. The worship and music projects will allow us to express our love for God in ever more beautiful and inspiring ways.
